COMMUNITY SERVICE

WHAT COUNTS AS COMMUNITY SERVICE?

Community service requirements are different at every school. Always check with your school, club advisor, counselor, or program coordinator.

CAN BCYD ACTIVITIES COUNT?

Many BCYD activities may qualify for community service hours, including meetings, volunteer events, campaigns, voter registration, community projects, and leadership activities.

HOW DO I TRACK MY HOURS?

Sign up for BCYD events through our event platform and remember to RSVP and check in when you participate. This helps us keep an accurate record of your activities.

HOW DO I GET MY HOURS VERIFIED?

Email BCYD after you complete an event or activity. We can provide a signed PDF document of your participation per our outlined process.

This is a requirement in order for us to provide you with documentation of your service hours.

CAN COMMUNITY SERVICE HELP WITH THE CIVIC SEAL?

Yes. Community service can help support your Civic Seal application, but come to a BCYD informational session to learn the specifics.

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

Check out our Events page, sign up for an upcoming event, and start getting involved!
